The Galerie Montmartre
Open Monday to Sunday, from 9:30am to 6:30pm
A graduate of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Márta Kucsora went on to study fine arts at Montclair State University (NJ) before making her artistic debut on the big stage. Her career has developed rapidly, with ten solo exhibitions and several catalogs already to her name.
Márta’s art seems particularly distinctive because she has a wonderful painting style that flows and splashes, feeding the flow of paint without brushstrokes.
She also plays with multiple layers that form seemingly colorful and rarely traveled paths. Some resemble human versions of the Northern Lights, more twisted and less peaceful.
Márta Kucsora’s energetic painting raises a question: are the fluids guided by a conscious hand, or does chance leave several floating streams on the canvas? Ultimately, however, she favors an aesthetic that springs from the edges of the canvas, shaping her artistic exploration of abstract forms.
