LéO CAILLARD

Léo Caillard is a French visual artist of the younger generation. Born in 1985, he trained at the Ecole des Gobelins and quickly made a name for himself with his photographic games. His desire to explore our relationship with time also led him to work with marble, creating several series of highly original busts.

From photography to sculpture, Léo Caillard’s technical mastery makes him a truly multifaceted artist who invites us to reflect on our world in each of his works. This talented young creator represents a generation of artists who question society, identity, and our invasive relationship with images.

He uses misappropriation and anachronisms to filter the codes and behaviors of our contemporary life—the profusion of images and narratives, consumerism—through an iconoclastic and meticulously crafted creative process. Léo Caillard knows full well, and enjoys the fact, that we often linger in front of a work as if searching for our own image, beyond the centuries.

“I am passionate about time, time in its physical expression.” – Léo Caillard
