CÉVÉ was born in Paris in 1951. She specializes in contemporary animal sculpture, and her style is recognizable by its pure lines and smooth bronze finish. The artist’s attachment to the clean, smooth lines of her sculptures stems from her experience working in the medical field with visually impaired people: for CÉVÉ, sculpture should not only be looked at, but each work should also make you want to touch it. The artist’s work is the result of this desire.
With a genuine attachment to young children, she began drawing teddy bears and other symbols of childhood innocence at a very early age. She went on to bring her drawings to life in the form of sculptures. In 2018, while visiting her son in New York and bringing him a “bear” sculpture as a souvenir from France, one of her longtime friends gave her the idea of reproducing it in different sizes and bright colors. A few months later, the “Young Forever” collection was born. Meticulously crafted and assembled in France, these sculptures are all made of bronze or resin with a glossy silver finish.
A renowned animal sculptor, CÉVÉ is a jury member and curator of numerous exhibitions in France and around the world. Over the past ten years, she has participated in more than a hundred exhibitions and has been invited to exhibit exclusively on nine occasions, where she has received twenty-seven awards.

With a strong international presence among art collectors, 2018 marked a turning point in the artist’s career, with her works being exported to New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, as well as Shanghai and Hong Kong, for the launch of the “Young Forever” collection. In less than two years, “Young Forever” has become the largest collection ever created by the artist.
This collection has its origins in the artist’s past career: trained as an orthoptist, CÉVÉ graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Paris. CÉVÉ was head of department at the Broussais Hospital in Paris and at the National Center for Visually Impaired Children in Montgeron. It is through her experience in the medical field working with visually impaired people that we find the reason why the artist is attached to the clean, smooth lines of her sculptures: for CÉVÉ, sculpture should not only be looked at, each work should also make you want to touch it.
